Trade System Architecture Description

Trade System Architecture is a course on strategy architecture and unmanaged orders for NinjaTrader 8. It holds about five years of my own coding and trade system design. Over those years I noticed that 90% of strategies need very similar setups: we keep trying new entry signals and filters, while the exit rules stay more or less the same. Sometimes you just want to spend 15 minutes adding a signal or a trail stop, with everything else in place. So I looked for the most flexible structure, one you build once and then extend. The point isn't any one entry signal; it's the frame you plug your own ideas into. What's inside. 18 lectures, about 4 hours, in one section. It opens with a bird's eye view of a flexible strategy architecture and the details of the design, then sets up the strategy code template. Then the modules are built one by one: the entry module with its parameters and logic, plus a visual representation of the entry signals; the filter module and its logic; and the order management module. The stop loss and profit target sections run on unmanaged order management and are tested as they're built. The last lessons cover what to do on an opposite signal, the trail stop and break even, and a final resources lecture. What you'll be able to do. You'll have a strategy where entries, filters and exits live in separate modules, so a new signal, filter or trail stop is a small addition instead of a rewrite. You'll know how to code stop losses, profit targets, trails and break evens with unmanaged orders, split positions and attach logic to split events, reverse or close positions, combine entry signals, and apply optional global filters. I also show some hidden NinjaTrader errors that cost me sleepless nights to solve. Who it's for. The course goes straight into architecture, so some strategy coding experience helps. Why it still matters with AI. AI like Claude can write NinjaScript, unmanaged orders included. But with unmanaged orders NinjaTrader leaves the order handling to you, so a small mistake can leave a stop unmoved or a position open. To check and fix what AI writes, you need to understand how the modules and orders fit together, and that's what this course teaches. Everything in the course is coded on screen, step by step. My advice is the same as always: type it yourself as you watch rather than copy it, then use AI like Claude to explain, check or extend what you built. That's how it sticks. Enjoy the course!
