Synthetic Arbitrage & Pairs Trading is a pairs trading course for NinjaTrader 8. I find synthetic arbitrage, or pairs trading, a very interesting technique. You find two correlated symbols, and at the moment they lose their correlation you go long one and short the other. It's simple to say, but coding it means one strategy that watches and trades two instruments at once. This is a compact course built around one strategy: the logic first, then the code. What's inside. Three lectures, about an hour in total. Strategy Logic Explained goes through the idea and the rules in plain terms, so you know what the code is meant to do before you read it. Strategy Code Review then walks through the strategy itself, including how a single strategy handles two symbols and manages the positions on both. Indicators Code Review covers the indicators that come with it: a correlation indicator and a Delta Meter indicator. What you'll be able to do. You'll know how to build a pairs trading strategy in NinjaTrader 8 that goes long one symbol and short the other when their correlation breaks. You'll be able to code a correlation indicator and a Delta Meter indicator, and to build and manage a strategy that trades more than one symbol. You end up with a complete working example to build your own pairs ideas on. Who it's for.
